How do I get an account?
Accounts are allocated automatically based on SIMS registration. You are eligible for an account if you are taking a
College of Architecture class (ARTS, ARCH, CARC, COSC, ENDS, LAND, LAUP, PLAN, or VIZA) or if you are a student who is a declared
major in the College of Architecture. COA majors will have active accounts until they graduate. Non-COA majors' accounts
and network data will be deleted during semesters for which they are not registered for COA classes.

What is my username and password?
Your username is your three initials followed by the last four digits of your UIN.
The first time you use your account, your password is set to Coa, followed by your full 9-digit UIN.
The domain you should be set to ARCH (ARCHSTUDENT is no longer available).
- If you do not have a middle initial, then substitute a zero (0) for the middle initial
(ex. Yang Zang, UIN: 123445678, username: y0z5678)
- If you first and last name together are longer than 19 characters, then we are not able to pull your middle initial from SIMS as it is truncated from the name field we look at. Consequently, your middle initial is set to zero (0), e.g.
Christopher Brandon Worthington, UIN: 123456789, username: c0w6789.

When can I use my account?
A non-COA major account is active only for semester that the student is registered in a COA course (see above). COA-majors accounts remain active for the entire
time the student is a student in the College, provided that the student has no more than 2 consecutive semesters where he or she is not registered
for a COA class.

Where can I use my account?
Our accounts can only be used to access computers in the Langford Architecture Complex. These accounts are independent of and separate from any account you my have for any other lab (i.e. CIS open access labs.)
